Let’s Talk Food

Stellargirls,

I love to eat. But do you really know what you are putting into our bodies?

I don’t count calories nor follow Keto, Paleo, Vegan, Vegetarian, Flexitarian, Gluten Free, Dairy Free or Raw eating regimens. I eat as clean as I can. So somedays I eat chicken and salad, sometimes a bacon, egg, avocado and tomato sandwich, and a handful of pure milk chocolate chips in a day. I cook a lot, I have my rotation of favorite grilled salmon, sweet potato and brussel sprouts dinners combined with about another two dozen dishes I do well at, but I try to eat fresh food. No processed food, I limit packaged food however I do open a raspberry, white chocolate Quest bar now and again but most of the time yes, I can pronounce every single ingredient on my plate.

Of course I eat out, but I  kindly ask for no salt, all sauces on the side, nothing fried but that’s me. You have to listen to your body. So, if your body aches and your tummy is sore from meat, be a vegetarian. If the same thing happens when you eat bread go gluten free and try potatoes or cauliflower bread. If your skin breaks out cut out the dairy. If you retain water, check the sodium content in your food, you will be surprised how much salt and fillers are in what you are eating.

Think eating clean and fresh instead of dieting. It is healthier for our brains, bodies and spirits. The good news is we control exactly what we eat. Once we are about thirteen or fourteen years old we get to choose. So, choose wisely. Don’t eat crappy ingredients. Don’t eat when you are bored. Eating is fun, social, and it’s good for you! Every body is different. Fuel yours with what makes you feel stellar inside and out!

Love, Teri xo
