well my birthday has come and gone, thank you for all of your birthday
greetings. my party was really fun, except i was really late and the
place was totally packed, but i managed to find most of my friends
amidst the chaos. thanks for sticking it out guys! click
here to see pictures...
it was also my friend jenn's birthday party this weekend, so happy
birthday to her! it's almost time for the october birthday cycle to
end. what a wild month. halloween is on thursday. i haven't decided
what i am going to dress as yet, but i think i found at least one
fun party. what are your plans?
UK kate has written another entry for eurozone. she's recommending
that some world leaders release their frustrations in a more "soft"
manner. i think she makes a very good point. read

CONGRATULATIONS to alex and marco! they are officially hitched. their
wedding was this weekend, and it was looooovely. please click
here to see photos from their big day. i had a really great time
visiting with them. for those of you not in the know, they currently
live in puerto rico, which is a little more than a stone's throw from
new york city. however, i do believe that an e-saver might carry me
there in the future! and i would like to get there while their extra
room is still available... because after april, there's going to be
a little baby in there! more congratulations! xoxoxox
in other news, it looks like they finally caught the sniper. it's
about time. i was glued to CNN as soon as they started showing footage
of the FBI digging up the backyard of a house in tacoma, WA. this
whole case has been really scary. i find one of the scariest details
to be the fact that they were (allegedly) shooting out of a hole that
was bored in the trunk. no wonder no one was able to catch them. i
guess we will hear more as the facts unfold.
what a week, it's been! i have been so swamped with work (this is
a good thing!) one last thing, tomorrow is my birthday!!!! and it's
gonna be fuuuuuun.

in other music news, i recently rediscovered the lorelei
EP in my room. i have been playing it over and over again. i wish
it was longer than 20 minutes! listening to it has totally inspired
me to get my ass in gear on some things. it probably inspired me to
mail those packages below! even though it's the new and exciting musical
adventure of my pioneer friend susa, it brings me back to a
more creative time in my life. there are many photographs happening
on this end. as for you lorelei, keep it comin'.

i have been putting it off long enough! i finally got together the
mail that has been sitting in a pile in my room... got a box to go
to crete, a parcel to go to japan, a letter to england, and a package
to boston.... look out! i especially enjoy using 'hello my name is...'
tags as mailing labels. they add a little color!
happy birthday to michelle (of vagabond
fame) who is all the way over in japan... it's also christina's birthday in crete...
soon, not sure what day! the october birthdays go on and on....
fall is here, i bought my annual bag of candy corn and devoured a
little too much of it. i also made some carrot curry coconut soup,
orange and fluffy, my favorite! stay cozy...

october is finally here!!! awesome. there is so much going on this
month, so many birthdays, so many people coming into town and moving
into town. welcome chris! i am so happy to have a new neighbor. speaking
of birthdays, mine is at the end of the month and there will be a
big bash. keep your calendars open for october 25th and i will let
you know the rest very soon.
so this morning, when i was doing my yoga, i was totally thinking
about crete and how it felt to be there, and how much is miss it.
i was completely overjoyed when i went to check my email and my dear
friend kate, also my roommate in crete, wrote me an email expressing
a similar sentiment.
I'm thinking about you a lot right now - about Crete, about how my
skin has been totally f#@*ed up by the experience, about how easy
it was when every day was more or less the same, food was on the table,
the sun shone, there were good people around...
that is the truth. read more about kate's homecoming to london in
her new section of vagabond, eurozone!
in other news, i saw the tail end of a free white stripes show in
union square yesterday, it was awesome. rock on. |
