BOO! Happy Halloween!
I have a very scary story....George Bush is actually doing well in
the polls...what is up with that?? Every presidential election seems
to offer us with a choice of the lesser of 2 evils, and i must say
with great emphasis, that Bush is really going to f*#k up this country,
BIG TIME.
I am begging you to PLEASE make sure to vote on election day, and
please consider your rights that you deserve. i will admit to liking
a thing or 2 about Ralph Nader, i like his progressive ideas the best....BUT
without sounding too negative, it is impossible for him to win this
election. I wanted to vote for him because i think that this 2 party
system is for the birds, but a vote for Nader may as well be a vote
FOR Bush....this is a BAD thing. Bush will have the opportunity to
appoint new justices to the Supreme Court which will shape history
for decades, and he will be picking the most conservative justices
which will take away rights that we have fought to earn.
Besides these issues, there are so many other reasons why it's important
to vote, for GORE, because it is a vote against BUSH. please, for
your own freedoms, do not vote for Bush.
This is MAJORLY IMPORTANT stuff about your life, your FUTURE!!! make
the right choice!!

so yesterday, i took Caltrain for the first time, quite possibly the
longest commuter train that i have ever been on. one thing that i
definitely appreciated, however, was the fine assortment of graffiti
that was available for my viewing pleasure. lovely.
last night i was musically mesmerized by the jazzy sounds of the Sea
and Cake at the Great American Music Hall. what an excellent show.
actually the band that opened for them, Town and Country, left a little
something to be desired...they were kind of putting me to sleep...so
when the Sea and Cake came on, it was like an instant burst of energy!
I think Archer Prewitt rocks...he plays his guitar like he's in DEVO,
only way better of course. so anyway, go out and buy some Sea and
Cake cds. do it now.
is it abundantly clear that i don't write about music so much? i am
more of a visual person, which is why i went to the California College
of Arts and Crafts open house this weekend...the San Francisco campus
is absolutely beautiful. it is an old greyhound repair station that
they have repurposed into a school with partioned classrooms and gallery
spaces. Very very cool.
Never stop learning.

hey people....thought that i would add some holiday cheer to the front
page of stellargirl. halloween is officially upon us, tuesday in fact.
not to toot my own horn, but yesterday was my birthday if you feel
like dropping me a line to tell me how much of a geek i am. i wish
that i had the chance to be with more of my friends, but that's the
way it is! i managed to have a pretty excellent time seeing STOMP
with a really good friend out here. thank you!
today i attempted to get my absentee ballot information all squared
away. i am embarassed to have waited this long, but that is it! i
am voting. because chickclick rocks so much, i will link you to an
interview
with gloria steinem (wow!) -- she supports gore because bush is
basically going to take all reproductive rights away from women! now
let's see, so much progress has been made, it would be really scary
to walk backwards in the new millenium. make your vote count, VOTE
dammit!
i have been kind of slacking on the site. i am waiting for some new
photos in the mail and i will one day change the stellarphoto of the
week....which i am almost about to change to stellarphoto of the freakin'
month! thanks for understanding!
10.17.00
today i walked the streets of berkeley, stepped on a potato, saw a
mattress tied to a tree, and bought some things that were sparkly.
i have been having lots of thoughts about life and money and where
i want to exist. then i watched the presidential debates, and i shared
some laughs with my friends at the ludicrous nature of it all. what
a brainy kind of day.
10.14.00
today is the big day! i want to thank all of my friends who came out
last night (and also the ones who intended to) and i want to tell
you that I LOVE YOU, i have the best friends in the whole world. please
come and visit!
to my friends waiting in CA, thanks for being on the other end and
i can't wait to start anew....
10.12.00
oooh, oooh! new stuff in the FLUFF
section. silly stuff, but fun if you like that sort of thing.
10.11.00
hey! wanna say goodbye? it's looking like maybe something is going
on friday night at sugar mom's...see you there!
10.10.00
just a few more days in lovely philadelphia.
i have got some new pictures from brittney and jon's wedding just
a week and a half ago. currently, they are enjoying themselves in
beauitful rome, but please feel free to check out all of the fun we
bjornsons had at their wedding.
10.03.00
it's october at long last, my favorite month of the year, i think.
at least when i was a kid it was...well, because that is my birthday
month. every year my mom and i would make pumpkin cookies and decorate
them like jack-o-lanterns and i would bring them into my classmates.
i don't really see why i needed to stop that tradition...let the baking
begin.
last night i did something really cool, i got out a box of photos
that i had, and i laid them out all over the floor and examined and
grouped them. i am making a photo album so that i have something around
to remember my friends when i am feeling a little homesick. good stuff.
